The COVID-19 pandemic caught us completely off-guard like it did to a lot of other artists, touring bands, and the general public. We lost friends, we lost loved ones and a lot of life as we knew it had changed.

The beginning of 2020, we were planning our first tour with our new name, Meghan Cristeen Martin & The 1900. When the onslaught of Covid-19 began, and later with the riots in the streets of our beloved city of Indianapolis and around the world, we were forced to rethink and refocus on what we wanted to produce as a band….

We recorded an album’s worth of songs, called it done, and then scrapped it. It was all because we had the time. We had ALL the time in the world to make a record we felt fully represented us as a trio. That is what this album is, a representation of what we have to offer in the form of a collection of songs written before and during a time that seems so unrealistic. It is an album completely done on our own and delivered to you.

From 2019 to 2022, there have been so many traumatic events, so much turmoil…it’s easy to get lost in the noise of it all.

Without the support from our loved ones, this record would not be possible. Thank you for giving us the space we needed to fulfill the record we wanted in a time of Too Much Noise.
